This Privacy Policy explains what information Mondo Pizzaiolo ("we," "us") collects when you use our marketplace, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to delete your data. It applies to Pizzaioli and Pizzerias alike.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo through Google Sign-In. As you use the Platform, we also collect what you add to your profile (bio, experience, specialties, location, social links) and what you do with it — job applications, messages sent to connections, connection requests, and job postings you create. If you claim a Pizzeria listing, we collect the verification proof you submit (a Google Business Profile link or a business document). We also collect basic usage information, such as which pages and listings you view, to keep the Platform running well and to show you and business owners simple stats like profile and job views.
We use your information to operate the marketplace: to show your public profile to other users, to connect Pizzaioli with job opportunities, to let Pizzerias review applicants, to enable messaging between connected users, to review ownership claims, and to detect and prevent spam and abuse. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Your profile (name, photo, location, bio, experience or business details) is visible to anyone browsing the Platform, similar to other professional networking or job sites. Your email address is not shown publicly — it's only used for account access and, if you claim a listing, to identify you as the verified owner. Messages you send are only visible to you and the recipient.
We use Google Sign-In to authenticate accounts, and Netlify to host the Platform and store data. These providers process data on our behalf to keep the Platform running — they don't use it for their own purposes.
Mondo Pizzaiolo doesn't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits — this stays on your device and is cleared when you log out.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, so the Platform can function (showing your profile, your work history, your applications). If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal data as described below.
You can review and update most of your information at any time from your profile settings. You can permanently delete your account and personal data using the "Delete my data" option on your profile settings page — this removes your profile, work history links, messages, connections, and (for Pizzerias) closes your job postings. This action can't be undone. If you'd rather we handle a deletion or access request manually, you can also reach out through the contact options on the Platform.
Mondo Pizzaiolo is intended for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Mondo Pizzaiolo connects users worldwide, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Wherever it's processed, we apply the protections described in this policy.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including rate-limiting and spam protections on public forms and restricting access to administrative tools. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
